Michael has been a tech geek for as long as he can remember.  Starting with building things using log cabin wood blocks and steel erector sets in the 1960’s and 1970’s he has always been a tinkerer.  When wanting to learn how things work, his dad gave him a generator to dismantle from a 1950 Ford pickup.  This was before vehicle alternators. Then his first ‘cool toy’ was a cassette tape recorder for Christmas back in 1970.  He became a fanatic of high-fidelity music at an early age and began saving money for more elaborate HI-FI sound systems and collecting vinyl records. At the age of 10 he started learning how to play the piano by ear and by age15 he started learning how to read music and study music theory. During High School, Michael learned about electronics at the time when transistors were replacing the vacuum tube technology in televisions and radios. Later on after high school, Michael enlisted in the US Army where he became a field medic classified as a 91-B where was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado and located near Colorado Springs, Colorado.  He also spent time in Germany during NATO exercises.  He ended his time in service with an Honorable Discharge and is a proud veteran following in the footsteps of his grandfather who was a signal and Morse code instructor during WW II and his uncle who was a helicopter pilot during the Korean War. In 1986 he got a to work for a Music Retailer in Santa Barbara, CA where he got to meet and work for celebrity musicians and producers to include Mike Love and Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, along with Kenny Loggins and Jimmy Messina from Loggins and Messina.    A cutting technology called MIDI came to be more popular than ever at the time.  It allowed the ability to have musical instrument ‘talk’ to each other.  And it was all being helmed by the new personal computers of the time.  This really became part of technology’s ‘renaissance period’.  He was sent to college by the store owner to learn how to use computers through MS- DOS version 3.11 this was many years before the first version of Windows.  Michael went on to learn how to build and repair desktop PCs and laptops.  Back in the early 1990’s Michael learned about desktop publishing which was the ability to replace a real publisher of documents and make print look ‘pretty’ for letters, cards, stationary, business cards, brochures, etc.

In the late 1990’s Michael became part of a company called Peak Marketing, Inc.  It was there that he learned inside out what was possible in building a huge money making web site called www.NationalForSaleByOwner.com which he was a key design contributor on how to create funnels of traffic for sellers and buyers  captured leads to an exclusive team of local real estate professionals.  From that experience he began to think about how he could learn the language of HTML and the database tools of MySQL and MyPHP to build robust web sites for himself and other businesses that were not only beautiful in presentation but highly functional. Michael really learned ‘hands on’ about web hosting back in 2003 and all the peaks and valleys of owning a web site online.  He got so involved with cPanel that he published an E-Book on how to use cPanel for beginners back in 2005.  He went on to start building a mega website called Pets-911.com out of the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina.  It was a robust site with language support for 26 countries.  The experience was invaluable.  He then went back into the real world performing customer support for National Call Centers for the next decade.   He specializes in the Telecommunications industry and has been part of a team of excellence winning nearly 20 JD Powers and Associates Awards for best provider in a region for Cable, Internet and Phone Service.  It’s that commitment to the pursuit of excellence in customer service and technical troubleshooting that separates him and this company from all others.  Today he assists front-line representatives with personal mentoring to help them become the best of the best in the industry in customer care. On the personal side, Michael is an extremely lucky man married to his bride of nearly 30 years, Grace and has a blended family of two step children and his daughter from his first marriage.  Together he and Grace now have six grandsons aged from 14 down to two. His pets are Maverick, a handsome Yellow Labrador Retriever and Stetson, a cute Cattle Dog-Jack Russell Terrier Mix adopted from the local Humane Society of Colorado Springs. Michael loves great food freshly cooked at home, movies, outdoor concerts, family get-togethers, music compositions, audio and video post-production and publishing of music and e-book education.  He also strangely loves technical manuals and books over fiction.  His last great read was the owner’s manuals of his Toyota Prius which was over 1000 pages.  He also takes pride in DIY (Do It Yourself) projects around the home where the honey-do lists are deep, wide and never-ending.
